Guyana is where my family originate from, on my maternal and paternal side. Our strong heritage has influences from the Africans, the Amerindians, the Dutch and the Portuguese. Our culture, our food, our people; everything about Guyana is just magical! And the illustrator and I, did our best to capture Guyana’s beauty in every page of this sweet story!
